She has received the Highly Commended Illustration award at FAB Prize 22, and is an alumnus of Pathways 2022-2024, an illustration program that supports a diverse group of talented children's illustrators. In 2023, she graduated from Harper Collins' Author Academy for Children's Writing.
Debora is also the Illustrator Coordinator for SCBWI Ireland and a member of DesignOpp, a not-for-profit initiative that champions diversity in Irish design. She is also an artist in residence of Mother Tongues.

Since changing careers, she has worked as a background artist for animation and as a freelance illustrator specializing in children's publishing.
Her diverse cultural background inspires her to create illustrations that celebrate diversity. She is drawn to themes of family, belonging, heritage, and identity.
